- A Beautiful June Sunday In Benarrabá

Hi Geoff and Jane! It’s been ages…years really, since I wrote, and I’m delighted to see you both still in my beloved Andalucia and enjoying life. We’re doing okay here in Northwest Florida (Pensacola). Our kitties and doggies died of old age over the last couple of years and so we got a sweet harlequin Siamese kitten because we missed our furry family so much, and our son, Erik, had moved to Orlando (the town that Mickey Mouse built). Our daughter, Michelle, in Reno, Nevada, is getting ready to move to London, where she’ll marry her soulmate, a wonderful young man she met online in Second Life, the virtual world. I’m still pretty much addicted to Second Life myself, where I have 11 different avatars. My main one, Echuirbaneth Raymaker, is an Elven queen, herbologist and healer in the Tolkein tradition, co-creator of the Elven homeland of Ithildor. Yesterday I virtually delivered twin baby girls in a roleplay adventure which was great fun.
I’ve been editing books for people who self-publish, doing various crafts and artwork, and working on fine-tuning several of my own fantasy novels…when I’m not busy with my Second Life adventures. My husband, Chris, is retired and next Sunday we celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. It’s so much fun still being gleefully wedded to my best friend in all the universe.
You can touch base with me on Facebook as Annina Lorna Anton. I just got a dream gaming computer, with dual linked nVidea video cards and all the bells and whistles. The frame per second (FPS) rate on that thing is amazing, and in the 3-D environment of Second Life, I anticipate no more lag…evar! :-) It appears that you have upgraded your ‘puter as well…and have new donkeys and a sheep. Sorry to hear about your kitties…our furry children live such brief lives, but we love them like our real kids. Neferkiti is a great joy to us…full of playfulness and smart as a whip. I’m pretty much bedbound these days, but with my computer being a doorway into the world, I’m never bored, never stop learning, and make friends everywhere.
We anticipate going to England for Michelle’s wedding in early 2013, and we will of course, make a side trip to Andalucia, so perhaps we can stop in and visit with you. I’m about to check out your photos and make myself homesick. LOL!! (We were stationed at Rota Naval Base in Provincia de Cadiz for six years…miss it nearly every day.) Cyber hugs! Cheers!
