Sunday 20th July - Thursday 31st July 2008
The beautiful Spanish summer reaches its peak at the end of July.
Hot day time temperatures and it's beautiful all night.
Cicadas are calling to their mates during the day and crickets make a more melodious chirping sound during the night.
We're getting regular sightings of a pair of Booted Eagles which are hunting around Benarrabá.
Jane's been working hard in Gibraltar. I went with her a couple of times.
One day there was a large levanter cloud hanging over the rock.
It was a dull start to the day. I went to the Alameda botanical gardens.
The firestation is nearby.
A little brighter later in the day in Main street.
Plenty of people enjoying the pleasant afternoon sunshine.
I went in the bar to work. I had the laptop and they have a wireless network for customers.
The levanter cloud is still forming but it's a lot smaller now.

Later in the month we went again.
This time it was a far better day.
It's the Gibraltar summer fair for a couple of weeks and in September (10th) it's Gibraltar National Day. The red and white bunting looks good.

This is Benarrabá early one sunny morning.
This is a Oak Hawk Moth ( Marumba quercus ). Faye (Sheepy Girl) Marshall is a bit of a moth specialist. She identified one for us in June 2006. They are like small birds.

We enjoyed a bit of a break from blogging. It can get to be a daily chore instead of fun.
We'll catch up with August and early September very soon.
Our Gibraltar website is up and running.
Visitor numbers are rising. Over 700 the other day :-)
It's a multi-author website. If you have an interest you'd like to write about ... join in it's really easy.
