A Beautiful June Sunday In Benarrabá
Written by Geoff Forster
These are photographs taken the previous weekend (June 6th)
. It was a lovely day, perfect weather.
The mountains in the distance are the Sierra Bermeja, the masts are on Los Reales the highest peak of the range.
The Genal Valley is stunning on a day like today.
Mount Porón.

There are lots of flowers around Benarrabá. Roses always do well in Spain.
Outside Dami's Bar, sitting in the shade passing time with a glass of fino.
The Benarrabá Ayuntamiento (Town Hall).
Simon and Luis sitting with their nephew and his baby boy.

A few days late Jane spotted a lot of Griffon Vultures up on Mount Porón. So we drove up to take a closer look.
I counted 34 sitting on the rocks sunbathing and snoozing. More were above circling the mountain. Here are a just a few of them.

Hi Geoff and Jane, what has happened to your so very nice blog?? I loved the beautiful photography and local news. I do hope it gets back on track, or did your lives get too busy, it will be such a pity. We’ve been spoiled by your good photography and creative writing. Greetings.Hannie
Hi Hannie,
Thanks for the kind compliments.
Jane and I were talking last week about restarting the blog.
We want to revisit a lot of the villages … so watch this space …
