A Few Random June photos
Written by Geoff Forster
The village church is being painted.
A bit of a shock to see the beautifully faded and classic clock tower, ex-foliated and now daubed with a thick white foundation. The tarting up is to be finished with generous smears of rouge.
We'll get used to it ... I'll post a photo when the make-over is completed.

This is Miscanthus sinensis "Professor Richard Hansen" quite a title for this award winning grass. In fact this very plant is from the RHS Wisley trial gardens and was seen on TV Gardener's World getting the RHS Gold Award. They kindly sent me a chunk when it was dug up.

The grapevine has finally made it up to the frame on the sun-terrace at the top of the house this year.
Nice contrasts. Looks better enlarged ... click the photos.

Bougainvillea. One of the deeper red varieties.
I love the Bokeh in this photo.
('Bokeh' is the way that the lens blurs points in the background. This is usually achieved by setting a large aperture and/or a fast shutter speed. Here 1/4000th sec.)

Love the grainy look from the 1600 ISO setting. No flash. f5.0 0.025sec.
Our neighbour's puppy visits my kitchen window when it hears me feeding the cats. Cute but yappy.
