We're up early 06:30. Jane drives to Gibraltar. I get down to some work.
I have a break and walk the dogs into the campo to feed the donkeys.
This pretty Vetch was growing near the natural spring just outside the village. Vetch
Convolvulus has a pretty flower too. One of the few pink plants in the campo. Convolvulus
We were a little dismayed to see lots of trees being felled a month or two ago. A bulldozer razed a piece of land. Roots
Since then the land has been planted with hundreds of grape vines. Grape Vines
The Giant Thapsia is flowering. A favourite plant of Rosie. Giant Thapsia
There's water in the mud holes. Jake and Sally never miss a chance to cool down Jake and Sally
I tied up the dogs, got the donkeys and walked them for half an hour.
I sat under an orange tree and shared a few fruits with Rosie. Domingo isn't keen. The donkeys do have different tastes.
I filled up the donkey's water tub and fed them their seeds. Then I put out a good pile of hay for them.
The dogs had had their water and a good rest so we set of home.
We made good time, it's tough going on a couple of hills and I was sweating in the sunshine.

More work in the afternoon and then I cooked a large cheese, onion and potato pie.

Jane got back around 19:30 and fancied a walk.
We walked down through the village and had a drink in Bar Andrés Sánchez.
We met Mercedes and Javier who are involved in the new Vineyard. We chatted about the plan and found out it's for a red wine.
The wine is going to be a blend of three grapes. In approximate proportions of 50% Cencibel (Tempranillo), 30% Syrah and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. It will be at least three years before wine of any quantity is produced. I'm looking forward to this, and will take photographs of the vines progress and hopefully the picking, pressing and fermentation processes.

Later Jane and I watched about an hour of 'Dog Bite Dog'. Dubbed into English. A Cambodian hitman in Hong Kong. The dubbing is typical and not good, we found ourselves laughing in places that we shouldn't be ... also one of the main characters is called 'Wai' (Y) another 'Ti' (T) and another 'Yu' (U) which also makes for a bit of extra comedy. It's quite a good film. Everyone slaps each other a lot. The Police slap the suspects and the Police slap each other ... not worth buying but if it comes on TV watch it.
