Up early. It's a going to be a warm day. Temperatures heading into the low 70's°F.
Jane headed down to Gibraltar and I got to work on our websites. At around 14:00h. I set off with the dogs to feed and walk the donkeys. Before I went I photographed a Cerinthe Major (Purparescens) aka Blue Shrimp plant. We seeded some the first year we were here and one has self seeded near the house every year since. This year it's at the base of our grape vines.

I took my camera, I'd taken a lot of photographs yesterday so had to look harder to find different shots. I took a few photographs of small flowers. Most of these have petals around 1-2mm in size. This plant gets to over 1 metre in height, it's flowers are very small. Jane says it's very similar to a flower used by florists called Baby's breath, gypsophila. It might be related?
A Blue Pimpernel. Related to the Scarlet Pimpernel which will be appearing shortly. A fantastic shade of blue.

Not sure what this is but it's pretty.
This is a member of the pea family. It has flowers just like Broom, but this is minute.
The white flower is Chickweed, the pink I think is Campion.
Pink Campion?
This is a parasite of Gum Cistus. Cytinus hypocistis. It looks like chickpeas in tomato sauce.
Benarrabá.
Genalguacil.
Benarrabá and Mount Porón.
Jubrique.
I was surprised to see this at the side of the track ... there must have been a really high tide last night.
Domingo was waiting.
This is Ferdy in the shade.

It was hot in the sunshine but we rested in the shade. I picked some oranges to eat, walked the donkeys for over an hour. Then I fed them their seed. Then walked home with the dogs, it was hot going.
I got home fed the dogs and cats. I went to feed the street cat with kittens in a box on our rear window. I found all her kittens had been killed. Probably by another cat. She was a good mother and had plenty of food, so no reason why she would do that. Not very nice clearing that up.
Jane was in late, she'd called into Aldi in La Linea to do some shopping. I watched Liverpool v Chelsea in the Champions League Semi-Final 1st Leg 1-1. An unfortunate own goal by Riise in injury time rescuing Chelsea. Apparently King Kev wants Riise at Newcastle. Hope he doesn't do that ever again.
We cooked a steak fry up and chatted for a while. Looking forward to the weekend.
So sorry about the little kittens. How very sad.
See you both soon.
