Up early again. It's going to be a scorcher. Temperatures are really climbing this week.
I worked on the websites.
Later I went for a walk to feed the donkeys with the dogs.
I love poppies. A splash of red at the side of the tracks.
The Southern Vetchling is beginning to flower in quantity.
Philadelphus smells fantastic. There are a number of large shrubs around the village. Their branches arch over the streets and you get hit by the perfume as you pass underneath.
Deep in the shade a patch of lilys were growing at the base of a fig tree.
I went to arrange Jane's birthday present (tomorrow 24th April). I can put on here now what I've bought her because she's in Gibraltar and won't read this until she's home and received her gift.
For around a year now, when we've visited the Restaurante Kabilás there has been a beautiful wood carving of a woman's head. Only the face is carved, the hair is just the natural shape of the wood. (A little like Marge Simpson's hair). I think it's fantastic too, I've always been surprised that it hasn't sold. I know Jane would have been so disappointed if someone had bought it. So now it's hers forever. Photo's tomorrow.
Jane got back from Gibraltar, We cooked, ate and spent some time talking, telling each other of our day. Something we couldn't do when we were together all the time.
Happy Birthday Jane hope you had a good one.
