Another lovely day.
We're out early to see the donkeys. We take them for a walk.
Jane took some photographs of some wild flowers.

As well as lots of Lavender flowering, the Rock Roses are having a really good year too. We can't remember seeing as many before.

This flower isn't too common but we know of about three places where it grows along our walk to the donkeys. It looks like a candelabra. We have no idea what it is called. It takes too long to hunt through our wild flowers books, sorry.
If you know any of the many flowers which we fail to identify, please leave a comment.
This flower is very small each petal is only 1-2 mm in length.

The donkeys munch slowly up the steep hill. Finally they reach the ridge where I love to sit and take in the magnificence of the Genal Valley.
Jane and I both came up with the same title for the next photo's in a scary simultaneous mind meld. 'One Man and his Donkeys'.

With the donkeys full of lush green grasses and flowers, we walked back with them to give them their meadow hay and seed supplement.
We think that Rosie is probably pregnant again. We'll keep an eye on her as she must be around seven months into the twelve month donkey gestation period. Soon we'll see a change in her already rotund body shape if she is expecting.

Jane spotted these two Rock Roses backlit beautifully with diffuse light filtering through the tree canopy. The spider was a bonus.

Back in Benarrabá, I settle in front of the TV for the qualifying session of the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Kubica, a Pole, got pole position. Funny for about 0.027 seconds, which was the gap back to Massa in second place.
Next I watched Portsmouth v W.B.A in the FA Cup Semi-Final from Wembley (Semi's shouldn't be played at Wembley it makes the final less of a big occasion. Now instead of Portsmouth and Cardiff fans experiencing a Wembley trip for the first time in many years, they've already been there and got the t-shirts.). I listened to Newcastle beat Reading 3-0 and watched the Grand National. Lots of friends in the UK were at Aintree, I hope they had a good day out.
I watched Alien 3. A lot of Alien fans like this film the least of the four. It has some really clever direction and while the original Alien is my favourite, this is a good film. The funeral and the alien birth from the dog scene is excellent.
Every Sci-fi film fan should own the boxed set. 4 DVD's for not too much dinero.
Hi, Geoff. We think the blue flower whose name you don’t know is a Muscari Comosum. There’s another flower of the same family that we call “penitente” in Spanish for its resemblance to the actual “penitentes” in processions.
Very good photos, as usual!
Thanks Joaquín, I’ve just ‘Googled’ Muscari Comosum and indeed you are correct.
There’s a flower in the same family probably your “penitentes”, that we call ‘Grape Hyacinth’
There’s a photo of some we have in a pot near the house in March 12th 2008’s blog.
