Friday February 29th 2008
In the Plaza Socorro in Ronda, Javier Arenas candidate for Andalucía (PP) along with some Alcaldes (Mayors) gave a speech.
The TV cameras were set up and a small crowd of around two hundred people waited for his arrival. A midday start time passed and at close to 12:30 a throng of cameras and flag waving followers appeared from Carrera Espinel.
Javier Arenas had arrived amongst yet more TV cameras. I was snapping away as he walked quite close by. He then stopped to shake my hand and smile.
The Alcalde's speeches were fairly short around five minutes each, before Javier Arenas got to te microphone, he spoke for a little longer. His words seemed to please the people around me.
Here are my photographs of the rally.

An unexpected but interesting hour spent in Ronda.
Election fever is hitting Spain as the General Election approaches.
