Fun At The Finca
Written by Geoff Forster
More photo's from our afternoon with Lily the lamb at the finca.
This is Jubrique.

There were lots of birds singing everywhere. The Blue Tits nesting in an almond tree have fledged. I spotted a tree full of them further up the hillside. Lots of Great Spotted Woodpeckers were calling. High in the sky three Booted Eagles soared and circled calling to each other. (Only two in the photo)

Closer to the ground a Robin was checking its territory.

We fed the donkeys some seed. We gave Lily hers inside the electric fence to give her some "donkey free" time to finish. She doesn't know that eating seed has to be done as fast as possible yet.

Domingo finished his and wasn't impressed that he couldn't finish Lily's share too.

Here's Jane with Lily. Domingo checks out the lamb.

This tree is pretty. Lots of beautiful flowers. Later in the year it loses all its leaves and it is left covered in golden fruits. Very striking.

One of many "yellow flowers" that we appreciate but can't name.

We left Lily with the donkeys and Dolly the sheep. She wasn't happy as we left but made less commotion than previous times. Poor little lamb. We watched from a distance and soon we saw her settle down. We hope that she'll follow the donkeys with Dolly instead of waiting at the gate for us to return.
