We're having a quiet day around the house/village.
We went to see Rosie and Domingo.
They are well, it was good to spend some time with them.
This is an 'Early Flowering Orchid' living up to it's name.
In the afternoon I listened to the football. A great comeback by Arsenal to beat Bolton which made the other results a little less worrying. A point or three at Spurs tomorrow will come in very handy.
In the evening we watched 'Candy'. Directed by Neil Armfield. With Abbie Cornish, Heath Ledger and Geoffrey Rush.
A love story. Poet meets art student, throw in some heroin, stir together and the result is a fantastic film, with some brilliant acting. Self-destruction, despair, the film leaves you with no illusions about what an evil drug heroin is. Rated 15 in the UK and 18 in some countries. Buy it for Heath Ledger and leave it around so your teenagers watch it.
Next we watched 'Gladiatress'. Directed by Brian Grant. With Sally Philips, Doon Mackitchen and Fiona Allen.
An 'offbeat comedy. Not great but funny in places.
