A beautiful sunny day. A strong north easterly wind means air temperatures are a lot lower.
However if you can find a sheltered, south facing position temperatures soar.
We went to see the donkeys. we walked them to eat some green grass and wild flowers.
We found a sheltered south facing slope to sit on ...
We were out for almost two hours with them, so they got a really good feed. We then gave them their daily seed ration.
We saw four Bonelli's Eagles flying north up the Genal Valley.
We' noticed the first Swallows are back a few days ago, so migrations are well underway.
We saw Lesser Kestrels, a Booted eagle and a Short Toed Eagle in January. The latter two near the A7 road between Málaga and Benalmádena. We thought this was very early.
Oranges.
Jubrique from across the Genal Valley.
We're having an unusual problem with our Telefonica internet connection. Download speeds are excellent, but upload speeds are terrible, in fact close to 0kb per second.
I tried to upload photographs to write Monday and Tuesday's blog without success. I finally succeeded late last night, but wasted quite a lot of time in the process.
We cooked a tandoori flavoured stir fry.
Later we watched two films and finished a third which we started a few nights ago.
3:10 to Yuma. The old Glen Ford classic Western has been remade starring Russell Crowe. A very good film. Worth watching.
The old classic is available too at a knock down price.
Then we watched 'Hitman' starring Timothy Oliphant. A film spawned from a video game. Not usually a good sign ... this is however a really good action movie. Really fast moving and an interesting storyline.
Then we finished 'Things We Lost In The Fire' starring Halle Berry, Benicio del Toro, David Duchovny, Alison Lohman. Brilliant acting. Slow moving film telling a sad story. Not everyone's cup of tea, but then not everyone likes films like 'Hitman'. Definitely the 'quality' film of the three but it was hard going for an 'action' movie fan.
