Not a bad day considering rain was forecast.
We went to see the donkeys and spent a couple of hours with them.
I wanted to watch the qualifying for the Turkish Grand Prix so we set off for Café Bar Guayácan.
We met our neighbour Antonia with her grand-daughter Tanya.
It was quiet in Guayácan a few Spanish lads were watching the qualifying session. We had tapas and talked with Diego who was working behind the bar.
This is Wendy McNaugt. She'd been on a painting holiday in the village. She's from Kent not far from were we lived, before we moved to Spain. We had a good chat.

We went down to Dami's bar which strangely was closed. In Andrés Sanchez we met Jesús and his brother. This is where the day turned a little strange. Jesús had said his mother had new teeth and wanted her photograph taken. Okay we said. So we went to see the old lady's new dentures. We were shown around her house. She'd had twelve children, eight boys and four girls. She'd had all her teeth taken out after giving birth to Jesús (a difficult birth?). Here she is with Jesús.
We expected a shining set of new dentures to be revealed but instead Jesús proudly showed us her new teeth ... He insisted we put it on the internet. I'm not sure what's the worst part of the photo, the tooth or his thumb nail? I guess it is quite rare and if it gets a little bigger may turn out to be useful.
We went to Bar Barroso for tapas. This is Laura the daughter of Curro and Almudena. Congratulations to them.
It was the first communion of José Francisco, one of Almudena's relatives from Estación de Cortes de la Frontera. There was a celebration meal taking place in a back room. We were kindly given drinks and food. We took a lot of photographs. You can see them here.

We went back to Guayácan for a coffee. Before we got through the door we were invited to another communion party. This time our neighbour's boy Antonio Miguel. This is Antonio's grandfather Sebastián (our good friend) with his wife Isabel.
Our next door neighbours Antonio, Carmen and their brother-in-law. We didn't see Antonio who's communion party it was. He was strangely absent. Perhaps off playing with friends.

Quite a day. If it hadn't been for that old ladies tooth we'd have probably gone straight home ...
P. S. You can e-mail me for close ups if you want ;-)
It did rain a little but not until we were safely home.
Good news for donkey owners who went out without umbrellas.
Thanks for the offer of the close up Geoff, but I think I’II pass on that ——pretty weird though!!!!!!
