A beautiful sunny day in Benarrabá. However poor old Gibraltar is covered by a large levanter cloud.
Jane walks across the runway into Gibraltar Town.
The barriers close behind her, good timing as a plane must be coming in.
In Spain roundabouts are a place to put a piece of art or a statue. Gibraltar is the same. This is a gigantic sundial.
A lovely shaped tree.
The town is walled and there are gates and tunnels through the 'Bastions'.

A solid looking door.
Jane has been telling me about a beautiful tree in bloom near the Police Station.

Main Street at lunch time.
Quite a striking tiled building.
Get your cuddly Barbary Macaques and postcards from one of many Gibraltar tat shops.
Good shot Jane.
The one on the left is mine.
Whilst Jane was in Gibraltar, taking pics on her way to work and in her lunch break. I toiled away at home on the computer. Jane had just got home when we saw a neighbour Anabel with her young son Juan Jesús. He's dressed up ready for a feria. His father is an entertainer. He plays keyboards in Duo Malacai.
This is Ainara, she doesn't look too happy about being photographed
We drove to the donkeys. We saw this old horse. She's very old and enjoying her retirement in a green mountain pasture.
An early night as Jane is working tomorrow.
Hi Geoff
The first tree is actually the spot where one of the three IRA members shot in Gibraltar fell in 1990. I haven’t walked past that area for a long time but the bullet mark was visible on the tree trunk a few years back.
My neighbour in Spain also has a tree like the second tree on your pics. I had also just noticed last week that there are a couple by John Mackintosh Square. My neighbour used to tell us that it is a tropical tree. They are indeed beautiful when in flower and come June the pods ferment and pop with an incredible force just like pellets from a shotgun. You really have to be careful that one doesn’t hit you!
