Granada Alhambra Generalife
Written by Geoff Forster
Generalife: The Alumnia of the Generalife or Royal Home Farm was planned as a place to relax in. With a grouping of residential buildings surrounded by cultivated land. The name Generalife is thought to come from Jardines del Alarife.
Which means Gardens of the Builder (Architect).
It has nothing to do with the two English words General Life! - Me!
It also is not sponsored by an Insurance Company! - Jane! The area has some lovely gardens with water features and buildings it also has great views back across to the Alhambra.
Here's Jane in the New Gardens.
Not a bad view!
We then headed to the Car Park. Where we had to pay around 7€ for our five hour stay. We could have saved 2€ by parking on the waste ground, but would our car have still been there!
A wonderful day in a wonderful place.
You have to come here!!!
