San Martín del Tesorillo

San Martín del Tesorillo: We'd been to San Martiín del Tesorillo once before. We had driven through but we hadn't walked around the streets.
We left Benarrabá one morning in late July.
We drove down the A369 Ronda to Algeciras road and turned off onto the CA513. San Martín del Tesorillo is surrounded by orange plantations. A major industry in this area.
We parked in the plaza area. (The red Clio behind the palm).
This is the church in San Martin del Tesorillo.
We started walking down a side street to explore the pueblo.
As with a lot of the towns in this area, the houses and streets aren't pretty. It was however very clean.
This was one of the nicer streets. The orange trees always help.
This is a main street that runs along the front of the church.
We walked passed and down the side of the church.
The church has been pebble dashed and painted white. The lumpy texture now attracts dust and grime. This makes the church appear very dirty and scruffy on close inspection.
This is the plaza/square in the centre of San Martín del Tesorillo. It is also a very large roundabout.
We had walked in every direction from the main square.
San Martín del Tesorillo isn't a pretty pueblo.
There are some very ugly apartments and it looks a bit rough in places.
A few streets and individual houses looked quite pleasant.
On the plus side, it is close to the coast, Gibraltar and the shops at Los Barrios.
